Upcoming Office Events At Stormberg Orthodontics

Fall is here, which means it’s almost time for Stormberg Orthodontics’ annual office traditions. If you’re a new, current or former patient, we want to encourage you to get involved since giving back to our local San Diego community is so important. While we take pride in providing high-quality orthodontic care, we also take pride in giving back to the community that has given us so much.

Our upcoming events are Paint Your Smile Pink, our annual October event that supports breast cancer awareness, and our Candy Buy Back Program this November.

Paint Your Smile Pink!

This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Stormberg and our team encourage our patients to choose pink bands for their braces. For each patient that participates, Dr. Stormberg will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Since 1980, this organization has led the charge in breast cancer research, while also providing screenings, funding and global education.

Last year, we had 281 patients paint their smiles pink, and Dr. Stormberg donated $1,500 to this incredible cause. If you have any questions, ask Dr. Stormberg or one of our team members today!

About the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Wondering where our donation goes? The foundation keeps 13 cents on the dollar, which goes towards all the services they provide. Plus, 75% of the 87 cents stays in San Diego.

Next to the US government, Komen is the largest funder of breast cancer research in the entire world. It’s also the only organization to provide uninsured men and women with access to diagnostic mammograms, biopsies, MRIs, ultrasounds, and more for early detection of breast cancer. Komen’s core focus is on supporting under-insured and low-income individuals with access to care, and navigation through the complexities of the medical system.

Candy Buy Back Program

After Halloween wraps up at the end of October, our Candy Buy Back Program begins. Donate all your extra candy (and the candy you cannot eat with your braces) to Stormberg Orthodontics for an assortment of $5 gift cards to choose from.

All candy given to our practice will be donated to Journey Food Drive to help feed those that need it most in our local community. We ask for a minimum of one pound of candy per person.
